Certificate of Achievement | Barrydowne

The RPN to BSCN bridge is a CNO approved program, designed to allow Registered Practical Nurses an opportunity to become a Registered Nurse.  With successful completion of the one semester (Spring) semester bridge, you will directly enter year three of our Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program and complete your nursing degree in 5 semesters.

Through an experience-based learning approach, you will become confident applying concepts to patients and situations through case studies and hands-on experiences during clinical placements.  You will grow your leadership skills and become a critical thinker who understands the value of teamwork and collaboration in health care teams. With a focus on diversity and inclusion, you will also gain the knowledge and skills to provide appropriate and culturally-sensitive care to Indigenous communities and special populations.

This program allows for practical learning in a range of settings in both Acute Care and Community settings, as well as Simulation opportunities each year to supplement learning opportunities and the application of knowledge and technical skills.
