Certificate of Completion | Barrydowne

Welcome to Cree, where non-speakers can learn about the Cree culture and language in a safe, fun environment. Students will have the opportunity to become immersed in the Cree language by listening to stories while participating in activities such as arts and crafts, games, puzzles, songs, vocabulary lists and more. The course will be broken up into two parts to build on learned knowledge and easily digest new information. Students have the time to engage in various material and activities while practicing their language skills and learning from each other. They will also get the support they need to progress from other Cambrian programs and events. This program is designed to introduce students, especially non-speakers, to a beginner level of conversational fluency and an understanding that our language is culturally based.
