Let’s get down to business! Business touches every single aspect of our lives. Everything we do, touch, see, and hear has a business associated with it. Your career in business can start from the comfort of your own home with the Business Fundamentals - Online program at Cambrian College.
Explore traditional business careers by gaining a solid introductory foundation in accounting, finance, management, and marketing, and apply that knowledge in your current career or use it to pursue your passions.
This program is a common first year for all business and accounting students, so graduates will be eligible for direct entry into the second year of the following diploma programs at Cambrian: Business, Business - Accounting, Business - Accounting - Online, Business Administration, and Business Administration – Accounting.
Though this is a full-time online program, have a discussion with your program coordinator if you are looking to take this program part-time, or even a combination of online and in-class!
1 year – 2 semesters
All courses delivered through asynchronous teaching (online delivery)

Successful graduates can enter directly into the second year of Cambrian's diploma and advanced diploma Business or Accounting programs
For graduates of the new curriculum (OSS): Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent or mature student status, including:
Any grade 12 English (C) or (U)
Any grade 11 mathematics (C), (U), or (M)
- Computer competency in relevant software

Books & Supplies
The cost of books and supplies for Year 1 is approximately $1000. This is the best information available at the time of publishing to the website and is subject to change.
Online students that live more than 100km away from Cambrian College, and are unable to report to campus for exams, may be expected to book exams in a proctored environment. Only proctors from Canadian educational institutions or Contact North sites will be approved. Online learners outside of Sudbury should research costs at their nearest educational institution or Contact North site as fees may vary.
