Academic and Career Entrance Program (ACEP)

Cambrian College’s ACE (Academic & Career Entrance) Certificate program gives you the skills you need to enter a college program, apprenticeship, or to improve your job prospects. It is recognized by all colleges in Ontario and by many employers who require Grade 12* as a requirement from potential employees or entry to an apprenticeship. This program is the first step on a pathway to success!

Eligibility

This program is geared to students who:

• Have not completed a grade 12 diploma in Ontario
• Are 18 years of age or older (17 with interview)
• Resident of Ontario
• Eligible to work in Ontario

Future Opportunities

• Post-secondary studies
• Skills training or apprenticeship programs
• Eentry into the job market

Important Note:

ACEP is not the same as the CAEC (Canadian Adult Education Certificate). The ACE program provides you with an opportunity to brush up or learn the skills you need to be successful in college or the workforce. The CAEC is a test which provides individuals with an opportunity to demonstrate that they already have secondary school level knowledge and skills.

This program is offered free of charge.

Online Application forms will be followed up via email, please regularly check your email for further registration instructions.

Please note that you may be required to complete Pre-ACE courses in English or Math in order to complete the ACE level courses.  Students will complete an intake assessment to determine correct course placement. 

Course Delivery

All courses are available all year long through our Continuous Intake model. All courses are available via our online Learning Management System (Moodle), in class or a combination of both.
