USP 1206   Principles of Sonographic Physics II   Credits: 4

In this course, students will be provided with the opportunity to gain a working knowledge of echo systems and imaging as well as Doppler physical principles and instruments. Students will examine colour flow imaging and instrumentation as well as colour power flow applications with emphasis placed on the cause and effects of artifacts. Advantages and limitations of all modes of imaging will be identified. This is a core course in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
