USP 1005   Vascular Scanning II   Credits: 3

In this course, students will learn sonographic presentations of the abdominal vasculature, and head and neck, to demonstrate the extracerebral vascular system,as well as upper and lower peripheral arteries and venous structures of the body, grafts and the role of ultrasound as an interventional tool. The recognition of normal and abnormal sonographic findings, technical analysis of sonographic data and technical impression for physician interpretation, utilizing knowledge's of structures and conditions will be reinforced in a lab setting.This is a core course in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Progrm .
