SUR 1220   Surveying II   Credits: 5

In this course, students will learn how to locate and install survey stations; perform traverse and coordinate calculations and perform calculations to determine areas of irregular shapes. Students will also learn how to use electronic theodolites to perform survey tasks. Students will interpolate survey data and plot contours; perform drill hole pick ups and the related calculations to determine their location. In addition, students will learn how to perform calculations and field layout procedures to determine circular curves locations. Further, they will also perform field determination and plotting of profiles and cross sections; as well as calculations to design vertical curves for route surveys.
