PSW 1146   Foundations of PSW I   Credits: 2

In this course, students will be introduced to the role of unregulated health care workers providing support to clients and families in the community and institutional settings. Adaptation to work settings and relationships and levels of supervision will be covered. Students will discuss legislation, the laws related to the worker and work setting. Ethics and ethical decisions as they relate to health care will be discussed. Further, students will relate these topics to client rights.
