PLT 2350   Computer Aided Drafting II   Credits: 2

In this course, students will be able to work on drawings involving the use of blocks and attributes, the Design Center and Libraries, external references, user coordinate systems, view ports in working space, multi-scale drawings, and multi view drawing using viewports in paper space for the first part of the course. They will then be introduced to topics in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with emphasis on combining various skills acquired in power line technician education to process vector and raster data sets. Finally, the students will explore the relationship between raster and vector data in various geographical co-ordinate systems. All drawings produced by the student will meet industry standards.
