In this course, students will use online learning tools and the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology website to review previously learned material in order to prepare for the writing of a competency based exam. This course continues to help students develop effective study strategies and exam writing skills for the completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist's certification examination for Radiological Technology. Self-directed readings and exercises emphasize common radiographic procedures and analysis of images. Students will participate in critical thinking case studies. All aspects of general radiography including computed tomography will be covered. Other topics include patient care and management, radiation health and safety, principles of radiographic imaging and exposure and radiographic pathology.
