MRT 2320   Imaging Principles & Concepts III   Credits: 3

In this course, students will build on radiographic imaging principles and concepts presented in earlier semesters. This course addresses the principles of quality assurance and quality control for radiographic, digital, fluoroscopic, mammographic and BMD imaging systems. Quality control for digital and computerized imaging systems will be examined. Students will participate in associated quality assurance testing in the laboratory environment. The causes of image artifacts and how to correct them will be presented. Quality control recommendations by Health Canada's Safety Code 35 will be analyzed.
