MRT 1220   Imaging Principles & Concepts II   Credits: 3

In this course, students will build on concepts learned in Imaging Principles and Concepts I. Image acquisition and management will be introduced. Students will examine the principles behind image acquisition, image processing and display devices. Pre and post processing functions of the digital image will be presented. Learners will analyze images for quality and adjust parameters for additional imaging as required. PACS (picture, archiving, communication systems) applications in diagnostic imaging will be discussed in relation to utilization of digital networking and archiving systems. Best practices in acquisition of images will be presented.
