MRT 1200   Medical Radiation Lab Practice II   Credits: 2

In this course, students will participate in simulated radiographic procedure testing and demonstrate competence in equipment operation, radiation safety and general body positioning for x-ray procedures. Imaging of radiographic mannequins will simulate diagnostic image evaluation and clinical situations for x-ray examinations learned in Radiographic Procedures I and II (MRT 1144 and MRT 1244). Concepts of digital imaging principles and x-ray equipment use will be examined through experiments and discussion of results. Laboratory safety protocols and procedures will continue to be followed and applied. Professional behaviours, both in lab practice and in simulated procedure testing, must be practiced.
