In this course, students will study aspects of mine plant systems that would be useful to a mine supervisor or technologist in designing, operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting problems. They will examine mining plant systems including: piping and fluid flow, de-watering sumps and pumps, service water, fill, compressed air, and electrical distribution. General design principles, application limitations, and component selection for these systems will also be covered.
