MCH 2310   Strength Of Materials I   Credits: 4

In this course, students will cover the study of the behaviour and strength of structural and mechanical members in tension, compression, torsion, flexure, and shear; development of relationships between loads, stresses, strains and deformation; stresses and strains due to thermal expansion and contraction; analysis of simple trusses; shear and bending moment diagrams for beams.
