LAW 3050   Youth In Conflict With Law   Credits: 3

In this course, students will analyze the historical, philosophical, and contemporary application of statutes affecting youth in conflict with the law. As well, this course will enable students to examine and analyze the relevant sections of the legislation pertaining to the detention, interviewing, and processing of young persons through the justice system. Students will also summarize and appraise alternative dispositions which may be employed to aid and rehabilitate a young person while facilitating public safety and sensitivity to victims.
