LAW 1001   Health Legislation & Prof. Practice   Credits: 3

In this course, students will study current legislation that affects Diagnostic Ultrasonographers in the workplace. Students will examine topics relating to health care, patients' rights, professional behaviour and professional associations.Code of ethics and Standards. Expanding on the use of reflective practice to promote critical thinking skills within the medical imaging department will be discussed. Using problem-based learning theories, students will explore their role as change agents within the health care system. This course is a core course in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
