HRP 7120   Occupational Health And Safety   Credits: 4

In this course, students will be introduced to the broad and ever changing field of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), an inherently technical subject area far broader than legislation only. Students will learn that the multiple dimensions of the various issues - technical, legislative, political, social and personal - are a required part of training for a professional in this field or for someone who is involved with this kind of operation. Occupational Health (or Hygiene) cannot be separated from Occupational Safety because of the many overlapping requirements and because the well-being of the worker must be first and foremost.
