FIT 1201   Physical Fitness and Wellness   Credits: 2

In this course, students will continue to develop the concepts of wellness, active living, and fitness from FIT1101. The course continues to provide practical strategies for developing a healthy lifestyle, and to prepare for physically demanding work in the paramedic field. Students through both classroom and online learning, practical experience, and self-evaluation will address physical fitness, nutrition and weight management, the effects of shift work and stress management, and reducing chronic disease risk.
