FIT 1015   Fitness & Healthy Lifestyles   Credits: 2

In this course, students will be introduced to the concepts of wellness, active living and fitness. Students will be provided with practical strategies and guidelines for developing a healthy lifestyle and be provided with opportunities to improve their current level of physical fitness, or maintain an already high level of fitness. Through in-class discussions, handouts, practical experience, and self evaluation, students will address wellness, physical fitness, back health and the importance of achieving a level of fitness to meet the physical demands on the job.
Note: It is imperative that the student discusses with the teacher any medical or physical concerns that would restrict full participation in the course, prior to any course related physical activity.
