ESL 1111   ESL Level 2   Credits: 13

In this course, students will apply their knowledge of the four language skill areas by focusing on topics that relate to Canadian culture and education. Students will develop complex sentence patterns and consistently apply advanced academic reading and listening strategies in their work. Students will write basic essays, expand academic vocabulary, and refine academic speaking skills. Students will also prepare and deliver a presentation, where they will be evaluated for their clarity and content. This course also includes academic study skills, tutoring, off-campus excursions, and online practice to help students acquire academic English skills.
