ENV 2416   Environmental Sustainability   Credits: 3

In this course, students will explore and examine the fundamental concepts of ecological systems which govern life on Earth. Emphasis will be placed on the interconnectedness of environmental, economic and social systems. Exploring Issues, impacts and solutions, students will become aware of how their personal and collective actions affect the sustainability of local and global ecosystems. Through self-examination and critical thinking, students will form their own ideas on what it means to live in an environmentally responsible manner. This course meets the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities' requirement for General Education in the area of Science and Technology.
