In this course, students will be able to configure a frequency drive to provide easy and versatile control of process equipment that is used in industry today. Students will be applying different scenarios to match a variety of industrial applications when operating a drive. They will also become familiar with the major components within a drive to determine how does it work and how to troubleshoot a drive. Emphasis will be placed on using manufacturer's literature to safely operate a drive and to satisfy operator requirements and process demands. In addition, the students will be able to follow manufacturer's information to configure an adjustable frequency drive (AFD) by navigating through selected menus to access these parameter settings.
