ELC 2400   Electrical & Electronics III   Credits: 5

In this course, students will be introduced to electrical charging systems, computerized management systems and basic electronic devices as encountered in heavy duty equipment applications. Charging system construction features, principles and diagnostics and repair procedures will be discussed and practiced. Students will study aspects of computerized management systems including fundamentals, construction features and principles of operation of electronic control modules. They will also learn the function and application of electronic devices such as transistors, diodes, variable resistors, sensors and binary logic. Finally, students will perform inspection and diagnostic procedures for computerized management systems.
