ELC 2300   Electrical & Electronics II   Credits: 4

In this course, students will review the basic electrical fundamentals and principles of electricity and perform electrical circuit calculations. They will gain an understanding of chassis electrical and accessory systems which will enable the students to trace current flow through electrical schematics. Students will learn the principles of operation of starter motor cranking systems and understand their related components. They will learn how to test and diagnose electrical circuit failures such as opens, shorts and grounds using a multimeter to perform the diagnosis.Finally, students will perform the testing and diagnostic procedures of chassis electrical and accessory systems, cranking motors, associated control devices and electrical circuits.
