ELC 1012   Prints and Electrical Code IV   Credits: 3

In this course, students will build on the knowledge gained in Prints & Electrical Code III, with a focus of industrial installations. As Industrial Electricians are constantly confronted with a number of different situations depending on the facility working with PLC's, instrumentation, hazardous environments, rotating and automated machines, and power and control distribution. Focus will be given with safety in mind in an industrial application and applying the Ontario Electrical Safety Code to a typical industrial building. Topics will relate to an industrial electrical applications which will be commonly seen in equipment, and wiring requirements. With students practicing on interpreting industrial blueprints, and job specifications.
