In this course, students will explore large and small scale economic phenomena which will help them realize the power of economic theory in explaining the practical aspects of their lives. Students will examine the behaviours of individuals, households, firms, industries, and resource owners. Further, students will review the explanations for such things as prices and output of firms, and the choices of consumers in buying goods and services. They will examine technological change, costs, competitions and adjustments of markets to new conditions such as inflation, unemployment, economic growth, economic systems, supply and demand analysis, national income, money and banking.
