ECE 2455   Program for the School Age Child   Credits: 4

In this course, students will demonstrate their knowledge of child development by designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for school aged children. The components of high quality care and supervision of school aged children, in a variety of settings, will be the focus of this course with an emphasis on effective communication, strategies that engage children including physical activity, innovative programming techniques, developmentally appropriate environments, and relationship building. Students will explore the philosophy of the seamless day for all school age children.
