ECE 1120   Child growth & development   Credits: 3

In this course, students will begin an in-depth study of the developing child from conception to toddlerhood. The work of various developmental theorists will be examined and related theories of child's physical, emotional, social and cognitive development will be studied. The ELECT document will be referenced as we discuss and apply the areas of development to specific age groups. Students will become appreciative of each child as an individual and will recognize the various factors that influence human development.
