DSW 2316   Adult Issues and Advocacy   Credits: 3

In this course, students will become familiar with life plan philosophy, development and formats in order to complete a life plan. Students will examine, debate and discuss a number of issues related to advocacy, adult development and promoting a healthy lifestyle for individuals with a disability. Students will review and become familiar with the MCSS Quality Assurance Measures for life planning and for the provision of services in the Province of Ontario. Other legislation relevant to the delivery of services in the sector will be discussed.
