DEN 1045   Orientation to Dental Assisting Profession   Credits: 3

In this course, students will focus on the role of the dental assistant in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating dental assisting and client care procedures. The methodologies relating to literature review relevant to dental assisting will also be studied. A comprehensive exam will be included in this course, which includes theoretical and clinical knowledge related to dental assisting practice. The exam assesses the student's overall knowledge of foundational dental science concepts, dental assisting procedures, and specific NDAEB domain topics.
