CMP 1017   Computer Applications   Credits: 2

In this course, students will use computer applications to enter, store and manipulate data, and to create and enhance reports and presentations. Software includes file handling, spreadsheets, databases, graphics manipulations and various Internet applications. Students will be introduced to electronic navigational tools such as Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and spatial data manipulation using relevant computer software such as Map Source and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). National Green Check level I and II geomatics certifications are part of this course.
