CIV 3510   Structural Design   Credits: 4

In this course, students will design the structural elements for industrial / commercial building based on the use of codes and design standards as well as taking into account the interdependence of architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines. Building components include determinate and indeterminate members, pinned connections, roof and floor systems and composite beams. Students may work alone or in teams of 2 with scheduled design submissions.
