CIV 2405   Structural Behaviour & Detailing   Credits: 5

In this course, students will be introduced to the materials used in structures as well as to the codes that regulate the design of the structures. Loads and design criteria will be determined from the National Building Code and design of structural steel will be following CSA S16-01 Limit States Design. Emphasis will be placed on designing and detailing structural steel members and connections.
