CET 3520   Building Scalable Networks   Credits: 4

In this course, students will learn how to create an efficient and scalable enterprise network. Topics include a review of network and routing protocol principles, implementing IP Version 4 (IPv4) and IP Version 6 (IPv6) Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Advanced routing principles such as manipulating routing updates and controlling the path that traffic takes are also examined. Finally, the best practices for securing Cisco routers are covered.
