In this course, students will be introduced to the concepts of human anatomy and physiology. This course provides an introduction to the human body and explores the principles of introductory cellular chemistry, the cell and mitosis. Further, students will examine DNA structure and replication. Gene mutations will also be analyzed. The learner will study how genes are expressed through the process of transcription and translation, and the role that RNA plays in protein synthesis. The body systems that will be explored include the integumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous systems.
