In this course, students will be introduced to concepts of technology as they relate to art and design practices. Exploration of new media techniques will aid in the comprehension of communication of all sorts, particularly in relation to continuously changing technologies and the internet. Students will focus on the basic uses of new media as a communication tool; this includes web and UI/UX design and the interpretation and manipulation thereof, as well as consideration of technological developments as they relate to art and design in culture and society, and how our perceptions and actions are shaped or distorted by the mediums of our interactions.
