Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Techniques (HVTQ)

With Cambrian's TSSA-endorsed and registered program, you'll be prepared to write Level 3 TSSA license exams to become a certified journeyperson so you can start working in the HVAC industry as soon as you graduate.
Courses focus on the layout, installation, and service of residential hydronic and forced warm air systems; the refrigeration cycle and the components of these systems; the installation and service of oil fired systems; and the safe handling and installation of propane and natural gas systems.

For graduates of the new curriculum (OSS): Ontario Secondary School Diploma (30 credits) or equivalent or mature student status, including:
- Any grade 12 English (C), (U), or (M)
- Any grade 11 mathematics (C), (U), or (M)

Tuition Fee (Canadian Students)
The tuition fee for the 2015-2016 academic year is $3,655.48. Next year's tuition fees will be available by May 1, 2016.
Tuition Fee (International Students)
The tuition fee for the 2015-2016 academic year is $13,614.00 for two semesters of study. Next year's tuition fees will be available by May 1, 2016.

Furthering Your Studies
Students who successfully complete the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Techniques program and who receive their G3 TSSA licence may enter directly into semester 3 of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician program.
Graduates may find employment as:
- Gas equipment installers
- Oil burner cleaners
- Entry level apprentice in plumbing, pipefitting, electrical, sheet metal, or refrigeration
